I am a 52-year-old Amritdhari Sikh woman living in North Carolina. I am a professor of computer science and have built a life that I am grateful for—one that is intellectually fulfilling, spiritually meaningful, and centered around family and Sikhi. I am intellectually curious, energetic, independent, warm, and family-oriented. I enjoy meaningful conversations, learning new things, traveling, spending time with family and friends, staying active, and laughing over the little things. I also have a deep love for Gurbani and Keertan, and enjoy doing Keertan as part of my connection with Sikhi. One quality I particularly value is a desire to keep growing. I am drawn to people who are curious, take initiative, stay engaged with life, and look for ways to become better versions of themselves. I would love a partner who inspires me to grow and whom I can inspire in return—whether through staying active and improving our fitness, learning something together, challenging each other intellectually, deepening our Sikhi, or pursuing new experiences. Sikhi is an important part of who I am. I value Gurbani, Keertan, sharing, seva, humility, honesty, compassion, and living with integrity. I am looking for someone for whom Sikhi is genuinely a lived part of life, and who would want to continue growing spiritually together. I am divorced and have two daughters, one an adult and one still in high school. They are an important part of my life, and I am looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable with that reality. I am not looking for someone to step into a parental role, but for a partner who can develop a warm and respectful relationship with my family over time. For me, marriage is a partnership. I value mutual respect, affection, shared decision-making, and supporting each other's personal and professional lives. I believe both people should contribute to the household rather than defaulting to traditional gender roles. I don't particularly enjoy cooking as an everyday chore, but I do enjoy cooking together, trying something new, and sharing the experience. I am looking for a good, grounded, emotionally mature man who is engaged with life—someone who is comfortable with an accomplished woman, cares about his physical and spiritual well-being, and wants to keep learning and growing. Ideally, he would be Amritdhari, live in the United States, and be around 45–60. He may be divorced, widowed, or never married, and may have children or not. His profession matters less to me than his character, curiosity, initiative, stability, and the way he treats people. I believe the best marriages are about two people who make each other's lives richer and bring out the best in one another.
